Important info about our locations

We must submit an Event Permit Request Form to reserve any public location for your picnic. All picnic locations are subject to approval by The City of San Diego. Please note that the City requires all event permit request forms to be submitted no less than 10 days prior to the event time. If your event is in less than 10 days, we are happy to set up your picnic at a private location.

Mission Bay

Our personal favorite, Mission Bay has the perfect spot for any type of picnic. These locations are also best for last minute bookings.

La Jolla & Shoreline

La Jolla continues to be the most popular area for picnics. We recommend booking at least 6 weeks in advance for weekend events at these locations.

Balboa Park

Balboa Park is the perfect location for that classic picnic feel. Nestled between trees and on soft grass, this location is great for visitors, garden parties, large parties, children's picnics, or those looking for a more quiet location than most of the local beaches.

Private Residence/
Venue

We love to host events in backyards or other private locations. We recommend a private residence for large-scale and formal events, flexible hours and pricing, and a more in-depth planning process.
